🌿 The Hidden Power of Self-Kindness in Menopause
Part 2
Emma Nicholls offers another gentle invitation to help you reconnect with yourself and find steadiness during hormonal change. ✨
Invitation – Find Your Inner Anchor ⚓
There is so much unpredictability that comes with Menopause.
Waves of emotion, great fatigue, or anxiety are just some of the things that accompany that and your body can feel stressed and unsteady - as if you’ve lost touch with yourself and your centre.
Finding your inner anchor means learning how to return to a sense of safety and presence in your body, even when the world around you feels chaotic and uncertain.
It might be the rhythm of your breath, the feeling of your feet grounded on the floor, or the steady beat of your heart.
Each time you pause to notice, you anchor yourself in the present moment, reminding your nervous system that you're there and it doesn’t need to stay on high alert. With practice, your anchor becomes stronger, helping you meet change and stress with more steadiness and calm.
This supports your changing physiology and helps to manage menopause symptoms better. We all know stress will make them much worse.
Self-kindness is not indulgent; it’s physiological care. 💗
Reflect:
What helps you feel safe or settled inside when everything feels too much? 🌸 How can you make space for more of that in your week?
Practice:
Pause where you are and bring awareness to your feet. Press them gently into the ground. Take a slow breath in and let the exhale be long. Feel yourself landing – here, now – say to yourself, “I am safe and I am supported”. ❤️
✨ May this invitation help you return to yourself with softness and steadiness.
